End of the Year

I decided, since the end of the school year is approaching, to make a list of the significant events in my life. It's probably more for my benefit than yours, but I don't care.
Let's see... August was a big one. I moved out and started college. Yes, college is stressful, but such is the story of my life. I can't say that it's any harder than high school. This year I somehow managed to get enough scholarships, but next year, I have nothing. Stupid WSU says that there were too many eligible applicants, so the "winners" were chosen via random selection. I don't really remember much of October or November... well, that is I don't remember the time itself. My godfather died.... shortly followed by my aunt, and then by my grandmother the day after Thanksgiving. Four days later, I discovered that my boyfriend cheated on me... well, he tried anyway. We broke up... and I realized that he'd never been there for me anyway. He didn't come to my homecoming, the hospital when I was ill, my graduation, or my grandmother's funeral. I remember I had a birthday party, but I don't know who was there...
December was one of physical illness, but then again, most months are for me. My dad worked Christmas... but on New Year's Eve, someone who I had become connected to in the recent months, asked me out. Of course I said yes, and I'm glad that I did. January was uneventful, but come February, my family moved. Finally. We'd been living for fourteen years in a two bedroom house.... six of us, plus two or more dogs and a cat. March 24th made six years since I've eaten chocolate. Yes, I remember the date.... leave me alone. You'd remember that day too if it put you in the ER. I was diagnosed with Raynaud's Syndrome... but no big deal. Just another illness to add to my ever growing list. I wonder when it will stop. Now it is April... I have finals and a slipped disk.

The word ' politics ' is derived from the word ' poly ', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites'.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
